Gratitude Activities to Try this Holiday Season

1. Start a Daily Gratitude Journal

Starting a daily gratitude journal is easy. You can start simple with an old notebook or a piece of paper, or you can find journals with preset prompts to help you get into the groove! Set aside 5 minutes each day to think about what you are thankful for. Maybe you are thankful for your family, your health, your job, or your warm home! Can you try to think of one new thing every day? Soon you’ll start to notice all the wonderful things in your life that you can be thankful for!

Remember to choose the Friends of the Salt Lake County Children's Justice Center on Amazon Smile if you purchase a new journal!

2. Participate in a Family or Corporate Service Project

This time of year, opportunities to give back to others who are facing different challenges are in abundance. Volunteering can help create a sense of community, part of being part of something bigger than yourself, and a sense of accomplishment that you’ve made a difference. Here are some service projects to support the Children's Justice Center during the holidays:

3. Write Thank You Notes

We all have many people in our lives to be thankful for and it’s nice to be recognized when somebody appreciates us! Go the extra mile to tell somebody how much you care for them this holiday season by handwriting a thank you note to a couple of people who have really inspired or been kind to you this year. As you write your thank you notes, you will be reminded of how many wonderful people you have around you and how thankful you are to have them in your life.
